Toursim South East: Visit the landscape of Flanders Fields 🌺

Over a century ago, the First World War transformed the landscape of Flanders Fields forever. Now, as the region has recovered, cemeteries, monuments and reminders of the history are bestowed here. Throughout 2024, a theme year entitled Landscapes: Feel Flanders Fields, invites visitors to reflect on the scars the landscape still bears today.

Ypres, is a picturesque town, which welcomes groups and English is widely spoken. It is home to the daily Last Post tribute which takes place at the Menin Gate Memorial and has a good selection of accommodation for groups for all budgets and sizes.

The region of Flanders Fields is not only popular for groups to visit due to its historical significance, but it is also home to a number of breweries, cycling routes and walking tours, all of which enhance a visitor experience to the region.

If you would like more information, be sure to head to our website www.visitflanders.com where you can also download the dedicated “The Landscapes of Flanders Fields” brochure, a valuable source of information and inspiration for your next group visit.
