Whilst exploring the Museum’s galleries, families will meet a cast of characters from different eras of the city’s fascinating history. Taking inspiration from their stories of London past, present and future, get creative and build your very own futuristic time-travelling vehicle in a hands-on interactive craft workshop suitable for kids aged 8 – 14. Workshops will take place on weekdays between 10:30 and 16:00.
Whilst at London Transport Museum in Covent Garden families can also:
- Climb aboard historic trains, trams and buses – including an iconic red Routemaster and vintage 1938 stock Tube train
- Explore the All Aboard family play zone where young visitors can play conductor on a bus, repair a mini-Tube train with toy spanners, and work in the ‘Lost Property Office’
- Visit the Legacies exhibition to hear the stories of Caribbean people who have shaped London’s transport history and culture
