Double Delight as Kynren Shortlisted for two Major Honours at the North East Marketing Awards

Kynren has been named a finalist in two major categories at this year’s North East Marketing Awards, recognising excellence across marketing, digital and PR from all industry sectors in the region.

Kynren, produced by 11Arches, is shortlisted for ‘Not for Profit Campaign of the Year’ for its 2025 campaign Kynren – An Epic Tale of England, while Marketing Coordinator Freya Askew is a finalist for ‘Rising Star of the Year’.

The prestigious awards, which celebrate creativity, innovation and impact in marketing across the North East, will take place on Thursday, 4th December at the Vertu Motors Arena, Newcastle.

The Not for Profit Campaign of the Year category recognises outstanding strategic and creative marketing campaigns that deliver tangible benefits for communities, charities and social enterprises.

Other finalists include Durham Cathedral, Northumberland County Council, and the University of Sunderland.

The nomination reflects Kynren’s continued success in promoting one of the region’s most ambitious visitor attractions, drawing tens of thousands of visitors each summer to Bishop Auckland and contributing significantly to local tourism and regeneration.

“To be recognised alongside so many brilliant North East organisations in two separate categories is tremendous recognition for all the amazing people who make Kynren such a unique and magical experience,” said Chief Executive Anna Warnecke.

“Our campaigns are rooted in a love for this region and a belief in its creative energy, and these nominations are testament to the passion and skill of our team – including rising talents like Freya,” she added

The North East Marketing Awards shine a light on the people, campaigns and initiatives that drive economic growth and creative excellence across the region.
