Christmas at Waddesdon is back! 

Christmas is always a special time of year at Waddesdon and the perfect place to bring your group for a festive day out.

This year, Waddesdon transforms into a magical wonderland inspired by classic British tales. Inside the house, be transported as you explore the Mad Hatters tea party, travel to the Ice Queens lair and discover Captain Hooks treasure cave! Outside, the Manor’s façade will come to life with bespoke projections and Waddesdon’s spectacular landscape will be lit with a kaleidoscope of colour, lights and music along a light trail through the grounds. Don’t forget to soak up the sights and sounds of the Christmas Fair and pick up a festive treat from the Food Village. Make it even more special with a Christmas lunch at the Five Arrows Hotel.

                                                                              Once upon a time…

Step into a world of classic British tales as you explore this year’s festive display in the house, in partnership with Jane Le Bon and inspired by Alice In Wonderland, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and Peter Pan.

 

Manor projections

We’re delighted to be working with motion graphics designer, Jamie Shiels, to give this years display a little extra touch of magic! From dusk, see the Manor’s façade come to life with bespoke, captivating projections.

 

Fair & Food Village

Browse over 70 hand-selected artisan stalls with unique and handmade gifts at the Christmas Fair, and explore our Food Village offering tasty festive food and drink, all set amongst festooned trees.

 

Winter Light trail

See the gardens sparkle brightly with mesmerizing light installations, in partnership with Luminism. Look out for the shooting stars on the Parterre and giant interactive dandelions at the Rose Garden.

 

Coach House exhibition

In the Coach House at the Stables, discover a Christmas display by local schools inspired by ‘The Lights that Dance in the Night’ by Yuval Zommer.

 

Festive Lunch 

Make your group visit to Waddesdon even more special with a delicious two-course Christmas lunch and glass of wine in the Old Coach House at the Five Arrows Hotel.
