Father’s Day Inspiration and Summer Events from Lakeland Arts

With Father’s Day approaching on 21 June, Lakeland Arts has highlighted a range of experiences, gift ideas and upcoming events across its venues, offering plenty of inspiration for families looking to celebrate together.

Visitors can choose from a variety of unique experiences, including a Father’s Day Breakfast Boat Trip and a Father’s Day Beer & Boat Experience, both designed to showcase the beauty of the Lake District while creating memorable days out. For those seeking a lasting gift, Lakeland Arts Membership and the popular Steaming Up Experience are also available.

Alongside gift ideas, Lakeland Arts has unveiled an exciting programme of summer events and exhibitions across its venues.

At Windermere Jetty Museum, visitors can enjoy the Festival of the Lake on 27 June, guided paddle tours with Windermere Canoe Kayak, and the forthcoming Embodied: The Making of a Windermere Skiff exhibition, opening on 18 July.

Abbot Hall continues to host a varied cultural programme, including the Queering the Gallery artist talk on 17 June and the exhibition Joshua Donkor and Lela Harris: Familial Traces, which runs until 3 October.

Meanwhile, Blackwell, the Arts & Crafts House, will celebrate its 25th anniversary on 4 July. Current and forthcoming exhibitions include Useful/Beautiful, running until 29 August, and M H Baillie Scott: Architect & Designer, opening on 18 September.

For those wishing to explore more of the region’s heritage, the Arts & Crafts Houses Tour with Cream Tea offers an opportunity to visit some of the area’s most significant properties, with the next tour taking place on 23 July.
