A Perfect Family Day Out Awaits at Tendring Show

Celebrate the best of countryside and community at the Tendring Show, taking place next month. With an exciting line-up of attractions, activities and entertainment, there’s something for everyone to enjoy—making it the perfect day out for the whole family.

The Tendring Show remains proudly rooted in its agricultural heritage. Visitors can enjoy prize-winning livestock, the impressive ‘Farming on the Move’ machinery displays, and the majestic presence of traditional heavy horses.
The Family Arena will be packed with entertainment throughout the day. The Mighty Smith makes an exciting appearance, with impressive feats of strength from one of the UK’s strongest men. Returns by popular demand is the JPL Shetland Racing , always a firm favourite with younger visitors and adults alike. And in a treat that is sure to delight younger visitors, Colchester Zoological Society will be bringing their dinosaurs for a meet and greet.

The Sports for All area will offer hands-on activities for all ages and abilities, featuring local clubs at the heart of it. Mistley Rugby Club, Harwich Baseball Club, and Lawford Football Club will all be present, alongside a climbing wall and opportunities to try pickleball for those looking for an extra challenge.

Now firmly established as a key feature of the show, the Apprenticeship Area returns with an even stronger line-up of local employers and organisations showcasing the breadth of career opportunities available across the region. This year’s area is headline sponsored by Pickering Group, and will also feature Rose Builders, Army Recruitment, RAF Recruitment, Suffolk New College, The Pioneer Sailing Trust, and Colchester Institute.

The Food & Drink Pavilion and Food Court will once again showcase the very best of local produce, perfect for a leisurely lunch or an afternoon treat. The Shoppers’ Marquee and Art & Lifestyle Pavilion return, offering visitors the chance to discover works from established and emerging artists, alongside bespoke furniture, fabrics, homewares, and designer clothing.
