Marsham Court Hotel Celebrates Double Honour at 2025 Institute of Hospitality Awards

The Marsham Court Hotel in Bournemouth is proud to announce its continued recognition for leadership in workplace culture and inclusive hospitality. At the prestigious 2025 Institute of Hospitality Awards, the hotel was named winner of the Gregory De La Peña-Hall Award for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging—for the second consecutive year.

On the same evening, the hotel was also a finalist at the Burnt Chef Awards, shortlisted in two major categories:

  • Best Mental Health in the Workplace Strategy (Runner-up)
  • Wellbeing Champion – recognising James Dixon-Box, Operations Director (Runner-up

“This is more than just a trophy—it’s a reflection of our people-first philosophy,” said James Dixon-Box, Operations Director. “To win the Gregory De La Peña-Hall Award for a second year is humbling. It validates the work we’ve done to foster a genuinely inclusive and supportive culture for both our guests and our team.”

Named in honour of a leading advocate for hospitality inclusion, the Gregory De La Peña-Hall Award celebrates organisations going above and beyond in creating equitable, welcoming environments. Marsham Court has stood out for its tangible initiatives—from accessibility adaptations and staff diversity training to meaningful community outreach.

At the Burnt Chef Awards, which spotlight mental health advocacy in the hospitality industry, the hotel’s shortlisting in the Best Mental Health in the Workplace Strategy category recognised its robust wellbeing programmes, open-door support culture, and structured staff wellness initiatives. James Dixon-Box’s personal nomination as Wellbeing Champion further acknowledges his active role in championing mental health awareness and team wellbeing across all departments.

“These nominations and awards reflect the culture we’re building every day,” added Managing Director Rosie Radwell. “Hospitality isn’t just about service—it’s about human connection, support, and belonging. I couldn’t be prouder of our entire team.”
