The Visit Essex team are offering Essex residents a chance to visit some of Essex’s top businesses for free this Autumn. Enter the Essex Big Weekend ballot now, for the chance to win tickets to top Essex attractions, experiences, overnight stays, and meals out. The ballot closes on 16 September, and lucky winners can redeem their prizes* on the Essex Big Weekend which takes place, 4 – 6 October. |
The Essex Big Weekend is back and there are over 660 prizes up for grabs! 70 Essex businesses have participated this year, including; Clacton Pier, Colchester Castle, Colchester Zoo, Audley End Miniature Railway, Wyvernwood, East Coast Distillery and many more.
There are also opportunities to win dining experiences. The 1935 restaurant at Holiday Inn Southend, is giving residents the chance to enjoy a Sunday roast for two, whilst the popular Tiptree Tea Room has a prize of a cream tea for two.
If it’s an overnight stay you’re looking for, residents can also win a short break with the Essex Big Weekend ballot. Overnight stays for two at a range of hotels are available to win, but, if camping is preferred, a voucher worth £250 for any Lee Valley campsite is on offer.

Terms and conditions
You can enter the ballot on as many prizes as you like but you will only be in for a chance of winning one prize per household. The ballot is available to people living in Essex. This includes, but is not limited to, Essex postcodes starting with CB, CM, CO, EN, RM, and SS. Essex residents include those living in the administrative areas for Essex County Council, Southend City Council and Thurrock Council. You must be over the age of 18 to enter. Please see full terms and conditions. *Prizes can be redeemed on or after the Essex Big Weekend, depending on T&Cs outlined by each prize giver.
