Explore the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries!
THE GALLERIES RE-OPEN! The Abbey is now open for sightseeing visitors on four days each week – Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. We are also delighted to announce that, from Monday 12th October, we will be re-opening the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries to the public. Tickets can be booked online now, at the Abbey’s website. The Galleries will be open Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:00am to 2:00pm and on Saturdays from 9:30am to 12:30pm. To ensure we can effectively manage all social distancing guidelines and Health and Safety measures, we continue to operate a single-queue system for all visitors and cannot offer fast-track entry at this time. The side chapels remain closed, so do be sure to allow for this when planning your visit. Opening times are subject to change, so do be sure to check on our website, or by clicking the button below, when planning your visit. |
The Abbey has been made COVID-safe and we are proud to carry VisitEngland’s “We’re Good To Go” kitemark, so you can visit us with the knowledge we are doing everything possible to ensure the safety of all our visitors. |
SUPPORT THE ABBEY Like so many other organisations, the Coronavirus pandemic has taken an immense toll on Westminster Abbey. In an interview with BBC News, the Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle, Dean of Westminster, explained that the Abbey had been dealt a “shattering blow” by the financial impacts of COVID-19. We receive no financial aid from the Crown, the Government or the Church so we are entirely reliant on our visitors, donors and volunteers whose invaluable support keeps us running, and is more important than ever right now. Whether making a donation, leaving a legacy, or becoming a member of the Westminster Abbey Association, click the button below to find out more about how you can help us to preserve over 1,000 years of history for future generations. |
