The Producers*****

This hilarious production at the Garrick Theatre (booking until 21 February 2026) will surely be a treat for your group. Based closely on the 1967 Film, the outrageous satire now directed by Patrick Marber is as appealing now as it was when the film came out.
Producer Max Bialystock (Andy Nyman) believes he has a shore-fire way of making a fortune: he will produce a definite flop that will bring in the money. He enlists lthe help of Leo Bloom. (Marc Antolin) who , clutching his blue comfort blanket, reluctantly joins Leo . They choose the offensive Springtime for Hitler as their musical show with the lederhosen-wearing Franz Liebkind (Harry Morrison) as the script writer. Employing the sultry Swedish Ulla(Joanne Woodward) and the worst director they can find (Trevor Ashley) the scene is set for some outrageous songs and dances.
Is the show a flop? Do go and see it and you will get all the answers and all the enjoyment that the musical provides.
Some great dancing and good singing from the chorus as well as, of course the leading characters, the production is slick and enormous fun.
